Field Service Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading medical technology company supporting NHS and private microbiology laboratories across various regions. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Field Service Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Support NHS and private sector microbiology laboratories by installing, maintaining, and repairing advanced diagnostic devices across the full product range.
• Successfully commission and install instrumentation, ensuring completion within agreed timescales and specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective service activities in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service through effective communication, technical expertise, and swift response to minimise system downtime.
• As the Field Service Engineer you will produce detailed, timely service reports using digital tools and manage stock levels effectively.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Field Service Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in electrical, electronic, or related engineering field (e.g., HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Proven experience with electro-mechanical, electronic, or related technical systems, including troubleshooting hardware and networked IT environments.
• Strong diagnostic skills in physical and network-related faults, with familiarity in TCP/IP networking, DHCP, DNS, Windows OS, and device configuration.
• An enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently and deliver within tight deadlines.
