We are currently looking for a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist to join a leading industry company based in a vibrant city in the United States. This exciting opportunity is for an experienced professional eager to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and innovative environment. The role is initially available as a 12-month contract with a competitive hourly rate of up to $70, depending on your experience, and there are three openings available.
This position offers a fantastic chance to leverage your proven expertise in software validation and quality assurance to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement across critical IT projects.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the SQA SME will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Ensure IT validation packages are inspection-ready and comply with applicable company policies and procedures.
- Work autonomously with related IT contacts and business process SMEs to support SQA in the review, approval, and implementation of regulated IT applications.
- Support continuous improvement and provide input related to the validation strategy for IT changes.
- Collaborate with the development team to build compliance capabilities, ensuring the quality of deliverables meets business needs.
- As the SQA SME, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of validation principles, regulatory requirements, and promote best practices.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the SQA SME, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Quality Assurance / Quality Management for QA roles).
- Proven experience in validating systems, with a thorough understanding of GxP regulations and validation principles.
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies, as well as automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of applications/tools including JIRA, Confluence, HP-ALM, Tosca, Veera, Qtest, and M-Files.
