Associate Scientist

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a CMC Process Support Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical organization based in the UK, supporting their antibody-based therapeutics development. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated scientist to contribute to in-process analytical activities across various stages of drug development, from pre-clinical to clinical studies and process validation support. The position offers a contract length of 12 months, with the future site of work moving to Windlesham, Surrey, from 2027/2028.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about process sciences within biologics, looking to apply their technical problem-solving skills and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the CMC Process Support Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • To support CMC process development activities related to antibody therapeutics, ensuring data integrity and accurate testing practices.
  • To generate reliable, timely data to support process understanding and development activities.
  • To deliver results effectively and share project data for interpretation in team discussions.
  • To compile data for inclusion in technical reports, publications, or presentations.
  • To maintain meticulous records and documentation, including electronic laboratory notebooks, records, and training materials.
  • As the CMC Process Support Scientist you will report scientific findings clearly, including delivering presentations and participating in informal discussions.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the CMC Process Support Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • A Degree or higher level in a scientific field (e.g., Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related).
  • Proven experience supporting process development or analytical development in biologics or antibody therapeutics.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills combined with excellent documentation and communication abilities.
