An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Scientist to join our client’s scientific team, focusing on advanced genomics, transcriptomics and sequencing activities.
This role will suit a scientifically driven professional with proven expertise in genomic and transcriptomic approaches, who is ready to provide technical leadership and contribute to the delivery of high-quality scientific outcomes.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Principal Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead and support the development, delivery and interpretation of genomics, transcriptomics and sequencing projects.
- Apply advanced scientific knowledge to the design, optimisation and evaluation of relevant experimental workflows and methodologies.
- Analyse and interpret complex sequencing and molecular data, communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- As the Principal Scientist you will provide scientific leadership, mentor colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of research and development activities.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Principal Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in Genomics, Transcriptomics, Sequencing, Molecular Biology or a related scientific field.
- Proven expertise in genomics, transcriptomics and/or sequencing, with a strong understanding of associated technologies, workflows and data analysis.
- The ability to provide scientific leadership, interpret complex data and communicate technical information effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
