Senior Network Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client, a leading company in the IT Services industry, is seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer to join their team based in Belgium. As a Network Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting network equipment, ensuring seamless operations in accordance with ITIL methodology.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Network Support Engineer will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Manage and maintain the network and security infrastructure, with a specific focus on LAN/WAN.

2. Ensure incident management in a 24/7 datacenter and customer environment, covering L1, L2, and L3 support.

3. Collaborate with a team on projects and routine management, providing support for (W)LAN WAN domain components.

4. Automate administrative and operational procedures via scripting, and maintain technical documentation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Network Support Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a related field.

2. Extensive industry experience in network and security infrastructure, with a focus on LAN/WAN.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Cisco Nexus, F5, Infoblox, Meraki SDWan/Lan/Wlan, Checkpoint FW and VPN, and Ivanti.
