

ROLE OVERVIEW
An exciting position has become available for a Packaging Development and Compliance Manager to join a leading company in the Hertfordshire area. As the Packaging Development and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and implementing compliant and sustainable packaging solutions across the business, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver practical improvements in cost, efficiency, and environmental performance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Packaging Development and Compliance Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Manage the day-to-day implementation of sustainable and compliant packaging across existing and new products.
2. Collaborate with Production to deliver practical packaging efficiency improvements, including material and waste reduction.
3. Ensure packaging regulatory requirements, including EPR, PPWR, and Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT), are met and data is accurately submitted.
4. Liaise with packaging suppliers to source improved materials, formats, and specifications, and support purchasing decisions by balancing sustainability, cost, supply risk, and performance.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Packaging Development and Compliance Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a related field.
2. Proven industry experience in packaging and supply chain management, ideally within a pharmaceutical manufacturing or FMCG environment.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with packaging regulatory frameworks (EPR & PPWR) and sustainability practices.
